More than a quarter of the country’s artists call the mid-Atlantic region home. Our community of artists and creative workers has been particularly hard hit as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Mid Atlantic Arts is striving to bring a sense of stability to this community which contributes so much to the vitality of the entire nation.
The importance of the arts sector has never been more evident, both emotionally and economically. We find solace and hope in a newly uploaded song or a virtual museum tour, and are inspired by the new ways people are finding to connect through the arts, even while apart. Creative approaches have included socially distanced performances, couch concerts, and new access to previously recorded content. Even in these difficult times, the arts help us make sense of the ever changing world around us.
It is our artists who will tell the stories of these times – they already are. Please consider a donation of whatever size, and join us in ensuring that these stories are heard. Thank you.
