MAAF supports programs you care about, that reach rural communities as well as city centers, and provide arts access to audiences that might not otherwise experience professional performances and enriched outreach activities.
MAAF gives artists time to create. MAAF supports Creative Fellowship residencies at the Millay Colony for the Arts and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts with grants to provide writers, composers, and visual artists extended time to pursue artistic projects in a supportive environment.
MAAF puts artists on the world’s stages. USArtists International (USAI) supports performances by American artists and ensembles at cultural festivals and marketplaces around the globe, and helps to sustain the careers of touring artists, fosters artistic growth through cultural exchange, and promotes cultural diplomacy unfettered by commercial or political considerations.
MAAF makes connections. From programs that emphasize community outreach to networking opportunities for presenters, MAAF is dedicated to providing a range of programs that support forging new connections, encourage cooperation, and spark a new and deeper appreciation for the arts.
MAAF helps tell stories. Whether supporting artists creating new work through residencies and commissioning opportunities, or helping new work find a larger audience through our touring programs, MAAF cares deeply about supporting and sharing voices that might otherwise go unheard.
